You can renew your driver's license in a different location when it expires by visiting the vehicle management office in your place of residence. Article 36 of the Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driving Licenses stipulates that if a motor vehicle driver's household registration is transferred out of the jurisdiction of the original vehicle management office, they should apply for a license renewal at the vehicle management office of the new location. If a motor vehicle driver resides outside the jurisdiction of the vehicle management office where the license was issued, they can apply for a license renewal at the vehicle management office of their place of residence. The materials required for the application include: the motor vehicle driver's license application form, the driver's identity proof and a copy, the original motor vehicle driver's license, a photo for the motor vehicle driver's license, and the motor vehicle driver's physical condition declaration form.
