Can I get an invoice for refueling?

Currently, it is still not possible to directly issue a value-added tax invoice. Here is some additional information: Generally speaking, gas stations can only issue regular invoices, not value-added tax invoices. This means that the related expenses cannot be deducted, and businesses are unable to enjoy the benefits they should have received. Issuing value-added tax invoices requires specialized anti-counterfeiting tax control equipment, and equipping each gas station with such a system would increase costs for fuel suppliers. Some businesses can first obtain regular invoices for their fuel expenses at gas stations, accumulate these invoices for two to three months, and then exchange them for value-added tax invoices at the tax office.
Of course you can get an invoice for refueling, I do this all the time. After each refuel, I simply tell the gas station attendant that I need an invoice, and they'll handle it for me. You'll need to prepare some basic company information, such as the full company name and tax ID. The attendant will input these details into the system and print out the invoice for me. Many places also support electronic invoices - just scan a QR code to get it on your phone. For me, getting invoices is mainly for company reimbursement, which helps save some money each month. If it's for official vehicle use with strict financial requirements, having an invoice serves as proof of expense. Some smaller gas stations might have limited capabilities, so it's good to ask in advance if they can provide invoices. All in all, developing the habit of getting invoices is beneficial - it prevents wasting your own money and serves as a spending record. Next time you refuel, try proactively asking for an invoice.
