If your car insurance has expired, you cannot drive on the road. Additionally, you will be required to pay a fine equivalent to twice the original cost of the compulsory traffic insurance, receive 1 demerit point on your driver's license, and have your vehicle impounded until you purchase the compulsory traffic insurance. Documents required for renewal: 1. Documents: Vehicle registration certificate (original, copy, or photo, any one of the three is acceptable) or certificate of conformity (copy or photo, either one is acceptable). 2. Invoice: Purchase invoice (copy or photo, either one is acceptable). 3. Insurance policyholder: (1) If the insurance policyholder is an individual, provide: ID card (copy or photo, both front and back required, either one is acceptable); (2) If the insurance policyholder is a company: Organization code certificate (copy or photo, either one is acceptable).
