Can I Add Mineral Water to the Windshield Wiper?

You cannot add mineral water to the windshield wiper. Mineral water contains many minerals, and if you add it over a long period, the minerals in the water will precipitate in the container for the wiper fluid, and in severe cases, it may even clog the spray nozzle. It is recommended to use proper windshield washer fluid. Functions of windshield washer fluid: 1. Cleaning performance: Windshield washer fluid is formulated with various surfactants and additives. Surfactants usually have functions such as wetting, penetrating, and solubilizing, thereby achieving the effect of cleaning and removing dirt; 2. Anti-freezing performance: The presence of alcohol and ethylene glycol can significantly lower the freezing point of the liquid, thus providing an anti-freezing effect and quickly dissolving frost; 3. Anti-fog performance: A single-molecule protective layer is formed on the glass surface. This protective film prevents the formation of fog droplets, ensuring the windshield remains clear and transparent, with a clear field of vision.
