Can highway ETC be recharged via WeChat?

Highway ETC can be recharged via WeChat. To recharge ETC through WeChat, your phone needs to support NFC or use an official Bluetooth card reader device for recharging. After entering WeChat, select [Me] - [Pay] - [City Services]; under [Highway Services], choose the [Highway ETC] option; click [ETC Recharge] and follow the prompts to complete the payment and other operations. ETC Usage Notes: The ETC transaction sensing range is 8 meters. When encountering a vehicle in front that has stopped, to prevent the vehicle's ETC device from malfunctioning or not having an ETC device at all, maintain a distance of more than 10 meters from the vehicle in front to avoid automatic sensing and paying for the vehicle ahead. The recognition speed for ETC lanes is 20km/h. If the vehicle speed is too fast, the vehicle device information cannot be read, which will also result in a failed charge. Unauthorized removal or movement of the OBU device, or detachment or loosening of the ETC electronic tag, will cause the electronic tag to fail. It can be taken to the bank where the ETC card was issued or the highway service office for inspection. If the loosening or detachment is not due to human factors, it only needs to be reactivated. When using a debit card linked to ETC, insufficient balance will also result in a failed charge. Follow the guidance of on-site staff to use the manual MTC lane, passing through with cash or card payment. Excessive thickness of the car windshield may cause poor sensing. This is particularly important for vehicles that have had their windshields replaced after an accident or those with modified front windshields.
