ETC cannot be transferred to another car. The methods to remove ETC are: 1. Use a hairdryer to heat the contact surface between the ETC device and the glass until it softens, then remove it; 2. Soak a towel in hot water and heat the adhesive tape behind the device; 3. Use a scraper to remove the adhesive tape and take it off. The ETC is usually attached to the center of the windshield, directly behind the rearview mirror. The installation position of the ETC must not block the solar panel or obstruct the driver's line of sight. The steps to reapply for an ETC are: 1. Bring the expired ETC card to the bank where it was issued; 2. Apply for reactivation of the ETC card and fill out the application form; 3. Once the application is approved, activate the ETC card. After successful activation, it can be used normally.

When my ETC device broke while driving, I simply transferred it to my new car when I got one. The whole process was actually quite simple: First, go to the place where you originally applied for the ETC, bring your ID card and the new vehicle registration certificate, and inform them that you want to deactivate the ETC from the old car and bind it to the new one. The staff will check the device's condition and then reinstall it on the new car's windshield. This way, you don’t need to reapply for a new card—the balance and discounts from the old card remain, saving both money and time. However, there’s one thing to note: not all ETC devices can be directly transferred. If it’s too old or damaged, you might need an upgrade, so it’s best to call customer service in advance to confirm. Using it on highways is really convenient—automatic toll deduction eliminates the need to queue for payment, saving a lot of hassle.

Our family owns two cars. After I changed my car, I transferred the old ETC device to the new one. The process involved contacting the ETC service hotline to confirm the procedure, then going to a service point to complete the cancellation and transfer. With the required documents, the installation was done on-site and completed in just half an hour. Even after changing cars, I could continue using the original card, and all the accumulated points were preserved without any waste. This has been particularly practical for our family. When my husband drives my old car, I no longer have to worry. Now, taking my parents out on the highway saves a lot of time, avoiding queues at toll booths. The key is to ensure the device is installed in the correct position to avoid signal issues. Overall, it was a wise choice.

When changing cars, the ETC can be transferred. I tried it: went to the service point to deregister the old car and then re-registered it to the new car. You need to bring the new car's documents for on-site activation, and if the device is functioning properly, it will be installed for free. This way, you don't need to apply for a new card, and you can maintain the original consumption records for easier accounting. It's suitable for us office workers who frequently use cars, making highway travel faster and saving wasted time. Note that the device should not be installed too crookedly on the windshield, as it may affect the sensing, otherwise, the toll station will recognize it slowly.

How to Eliminate Static Electricity in Cars?

Methods to eliminate static electricity in cars: 1. Place a wet towel on the dashboard. Spread a wet towel on the dashboard and use sunlight to quickly evaporate the moisture in the towel, thereby increasing the humidity inside the car and reducing the likelihood of static electricity. Alternatively, you can directly install an in-car humidifier to prevent static electricity; 2. Remove static electricity from your hands. To avoid static shocks, you can use small metal objects or a cotton cloth to touch the door or seatback first to discharge static electricity before touching them with your hands. Static electricity in cars mainly comes from two sources: friction from fibrous materials (such as carpets, seats, clothing, etc.), and friction between dust in the air and the metal surface of the car body during driving.

How to Fix a Detached Car Exhaust Pipe?

Wrap copper wire around the joint to seal the exhaust pipe leak and eliminate abnormal engine noises during operation. Cut a piece of copper wire from an old cable and wrap it in circles around the joint gasket, tightly winding one loop after another, similar to hand-weaving a straw hat in the past. The outer ring should be slightly larger and thicker than the joint gasket. After installation, tighten the exhaust pipe bolts when the engine is hot, and the abnormal noise from the exhaust pipe will be completely eliminated.

How to Start a BYD Song?

After confirming safety, open the car door. Before starting, ensure the gear is in the parking position, and check if any warning lights on the dashboard are abnormal. Shift to D gear to start. For a cold start, the engine needs to be preheated. The preheating time depends on the temperature, generally until the idle speed returns to normal before starting. Always remember to fasten the seat belt. Having a good driving posture is not just for posing; it is closely related to safe driving and riding comfort. The driver should naturally place both hands on the steering wheel. The body should be in a natural driving position. Adjust the interior rearview mirror so that the scenery is centered and a small portion of the vehicle's rear is visible.

What to Do If the Car Charging Port Gets Wet?

If the charger gets wet, you can use a hair dryer to dry it or let it air dry. Once it's dry, it can be used again. If the charging port gets wet during charging, it can easily cause a short circuit, damaging the circuit board or control components. If the indicator light is flashing and the fuse is intact, the issue might be a burnt resistor or capacitor, which can be replaced. Check whether any rectifier tubes in the rectifier module are burnt out. If they are not damaged, the problem likely lies with the driver module, and professional inspection is required.

Reasons for the Decrease in Coolant Level

The reasons for the decrease in coolant level are: Coolant is a combination of chemical agents and water, and where there is water, there is bound to be natural consumption. Therefore, after being used for a period of time, a portion of the coolant will naturally evaporate, but the rate is very slow, which is normal. Coolant prevents the freezing of the liquid in the cooling system during cold winter parking, which could otherwise crack the radiator and damage the engine cylinder block. If the coolant level drops abnormally within a few days and continues to decrease even after refilling, there may be a leak. It is necessary to carefully inspect areas such as the radiator hoses, air conditioning heater hoses, thermostat, water pump seal ring, and the radiator itself for any leakage points. Alternatively, you can take the vehicle to a professional repair shop for a thorough inspection.

What does it mean when the water temperature warning light comes on?

Here are the specific reasons and solutions for the water temperature warning light coming on: 1. The engine water temperature is too high. Solution: Stop the car to prevent engine damage from overheating. 2. High water temperature may also be caused by poor water circulation in the engine, preventing the temperature from dropping. Solution: Check the reason for poor water circulation and have it repaired by a professional mechanic. 3. The vehicle is low on coolant. Solution: Simply add coolant. 4. The cooling fan is not working. Solution: Check the relay and fuse, and after initial troubleshooting, have it repaired by a professional mechanic.
