Can ETC be installed by yourself?

ETC can be installed by yourself. The installation steps for ETC are as follows: 1. Insert the express card into the sensor. Before installation, ensure that the installation location is free of attachments or cracks. If there is a metal film on the windshield, it will block the signal, so a piece of the metal film needs to be cut off before attaching the ETC device. 2. Peel off the adhesive strip on the back and then stick it to the right side of the rearview mirror on the front windshield. 3. After installing the device, it needs to be activated. Open WeChat, enter the ETC mini-program, and follow the process to activate it. During activation, you also need to take a 45-degree angle photo of the vehicle on-site. 4. After successfully uploading the photo, you need to pair the Bluetooth. When the Bluetooth icon button lights up green or the screen shows that Bluetooth is turned on, the ETC device can be used normally.
I installed the ETC device myself a few days ago, and it really wasn't difficult. Just unpack the device packaging to find that little black box, choose a spot near the rearview mirror on the windshield, clean it with an alcohol wipe, and stick it on. The key is to avoid the metal parts of the front windshield film, otherwise the signal might drop. After securing it, turn on your phone's Bluetooth to pair, follow the prompts to take and upload photos of your vehicle license, and it'll be activated in five minutes. Not only does it save money, but it also saves time—no need to specially go to the bank and queue. However, do remember not to place it too far to the side or block the solar charging panel, or you'll have a headache when it fails to recognize on the highway. My last long-distance drive went off without a hitch—DIY installation is totally reliable!
