Can Diesel Engine Oil Be Used in Gasoline Engines?

Diesel engine oil cannot be used in gasoline engines, as it may cause engine damage. Engine oil is referred to as the lifeblood of an engine, serving not only as a lubricant but also providing cleaning, sealing, buffering, rust prevention, and heat dissipation functions. Without engine oil, the engine cannot operate properly. During engine operation, the oil forms a protective film on the surfaces of various components, preventing direct contact and friction between them. If components within the engine come into direct contact and generate friction, it will accelerate engine wear and produce a large amount of instantaneous heat, which can be fatal to the engine.
