Can Adding an Auxiliary Fuel Tank Pass the Annual Inspection?

Any installation or modification not approved by the vehicle management office is considered illegal modification and will not pass the annual inspection. Additional information: The Haval H9 can be equipped with an auxiliary fuel tank, but it is not recommended due to potential safety hazards. Private vehicles are not allowed to install auxiliary fuel tanks afterward, and they will not pass the inspection. For small cars, installation is more difficult as the auxiliary tank takes up considerable space. SUVs are easier due to their larger space and more options. Off-road vehicles come with auxiliary fuel tanks from the factory, usually installed under the car at the spare tire location. Modifications such as the carbon canister valve must also be done; otherwise, you may smell gasoline when opening the car door in summer. If you are not skilled in DIY, it is better to seek help from a modification shop or a car-savvy friend, as these modifications need to be custom-made for different vehicle models.
