Can a Spark Plug with Cracked Ceramic Still Be Used?
1 Answers
Spark plugs with cracked ceramic cannot be used, as the ceramic serves as the insulator for the spark plug and affects the operation of the car's engine. Removing and installing spark plugs requires specialized tools, which can be rented or borrowed. The installation and removal must be performed with the appropriate torque corresponding to the spark plug's size, as not all vehicle models use mainstream spark plugs. Automobile spark plugs, commonly known as spark plugs, function by discharging the high-voltage pulses sent from the high-voltage wire (spark plug wire), breaking down the air between the two electrodes of the spark plug to generate an electric spark, thereby igniting the air-fuel mixture in the cylinder. The key component of a spark plug is the insulator. If the insulator fails, the high voltage will 'take a shortcut' without passing through the two electrodes to the ground, resulting in a no-spark condition.
