Can a newly tinted car be exposed to rain?

A newly tinted car should avoid exposure to rain as much as possible. Here are some precautions after car window tinting: Do not roll down the windows: After tinting, the film has not fully adhered to the car glass, so avoid rolling down the windows for three days. Do not wash the car: Avoid washing the car within three days and do not wipe the film with hard objects. Water bubble phenomenon: On the second day after tinting, water mist and bubbles usually appear, which is normal. The moisture will evaporate after exposure to sunlight. Winter tinting: If the tinting is done in winter, the moisture evaporates more slowly. The front and rear windows may take a month to dry completely, and the rear window heating wires should not be used within a month.
I just got my car window tint done, and it's usually recommended to avoid letting the car get rained on for the first three days after application. The film needs a curing process to adhere properly to the windows, taking about 24 to 72 hours for the adhesive to fully dry. During this period, heavy or continuous rain may allow water to seep under the edges of the film, causing bubbles, peeling, or poor adhesion, which can affect both appearance and longevity. If you can't avoid the rain, make sure to promptly wipe off any water marks with a soft cloth to prevent staining. Also, hold off on washing the car for at least a week before using a high-pressure washer—proper care can help the film last seven to eight years. Be extra cautious when tinting in summer, as the combination of high temperatures and rain increases the risk of bubbling. Parking in a garage is the safest bet.
