Modifying a gasoline vehicle to diesel cannot be registered as it constitutes unauthorized vehicle modification. Legal Provisions: The "Road Traffic Safety Law" stipulates that no unit or individual may assemble a motor vehicle or alter the registered structure, construction, or characteristics of a motor vehicle without authorization; nor may they change the model, engine number, frame number, or vehicle identification number of a motor vehicle. Definition of Unauthorized Vehicle Modification: Unauthorized vehicle modification refers to altering the structure, construction, or characteristics of a vehicle that has already obtained a "Road Transport Certificate" without approval from relevant authorities. Examples include changing the appearance color of the cab and body to one different from the original vehicle; or altering major vehicle components, such as replacing the engine, transmission, front axle, rear axle, or frame with ones inconsistent with the original model; replacing the vehicle body or tank; or changing the vehicle's suspension type without authorization.
