A car that uses 92-octane gasoline can be filled with 98-octane gasoline, but 98-octane gasoline may cause incomplete fuel combustion, which not only consumes more fuel but also easily leads to engine carbon deposits. Strictly speaking, 92-octane and 98-octane gasoline should not be mixed, but due to its strong anti-knock properties, occasional mixing will not severely damage the car. Under normal circumstances, the gasoline octane rating should be selected according to the instructions provided in the vehicle's user manual, or the manufacturer's recommended gasoline octane rating can be found on the inside of the fuel tank cap. Using a higher-octane gasoline may not necessarily produce better results and could lead to unnecessary issues.
