Can a car run without engine oil?

An automobile cannot continue to operate without engine oil. Here are the reasons why a car cannot run without engine oil: Burning of the crankshaft and bearing bush: Engine oil provides excellent lubrication and cooling effects for the engine. If the car is forced to operate without engine oil, the engine components will suffer from mutual friction damage due to the lack of lubrication. Additionally, without the cooling function, during high-speed operation of the engine, phenomena such as burning of the crankshaft and bearing bush are highly likely to occur. Engine seizure: Continuing to drive a car without engine oil can lead to engine seizure due to the absence of lubrication, with the consequences becoming more severe as the oil level decreases. When the engine is started again, dry or semi-dry friction will form between the cylinder and piston, thereby accelerating the wear of components. The starting resistance will also significantly increase, making it difficult to start the engine.
