Can a B2 license be upgraded to an A1 driver's license?

A B2 driver's license can be upgraded to an A1 driver's license. However, the B2 license must have been held for at least five years, and there should be no record of full demerit points in the three most recent scoring cycles before applying for the upgrade. The upgrade can only be processed in the holder's registered residence area. Requirements for upgrading from B2 to A1: Age: Applicants must be between 26 and 50 years old. Driving experience: The B2 license must have been held for at least five years, and there should be no record of accumulating 12 demerit points in any of the five consecutive scoring cycles before applying. (Note: Starting from November 20, 2020, the age requirement has been adjusted to 22-60 years old, and the minimum holding period for a heavy truck driver's license has been reduced from five years to three years.) Requirements: The A1 license has specific height and vision requirements, but since the applicant already holds a B1 license, these requirements are presumably met. However, applicants cannot apply for an A1 license if they have had instances of drunk driving, failed to undergo annual inspections for three consecutive cycles, or been involved in accidents causing casualties while holding a B1 license. Upgrading from B2 to A1 generally involves obtaining a passenger vehicle license, including large buses (A1), medium-sized buses (B1), and city buses (A3). Specifically, A1 large buses refer to vehicles exceeding 6 meters in length or with a passenger capacity of more than 20 people, such as common long-distance coaches or some extra-long luxury cars.
