A B1 driver's license can be upgraded to an A2. The conditions for upgrading from B1 to A2 are: holding a B1 or B2 driver's license for more than three years, with no full-point records in the two most recent consecutive scoring cycles before the upgrade; age between 24 and 50 years old; no record of drunk driving, and no record of being primarily or fully responsible in a fatal accident. When applying to upgrade to medium-sized buses, tractors, or large buses, the following additional regulations must be met: 1. When applying to upgrade to a medium-sized bus, the applicant must have held a license for city buses, large trucks, small cars, small automatic transmission cars, low-speed trucks, or three-wheeled cars for more than three years, with no record of 12 points in the three most recent consecutive scoring cycles before the application. 2. When applying to upgrade to a tractor, the applicant must have held a license for medium-sized buses or large trucks for more than three years, or a license for large buses for more than one year, with no record of 12 points in the three most recent consecutive scoring cycles before the application. 3. When applying to upgrade to a large bus, the applicant must have held a license for medium-sized buses or large trucks for more than five years, or a license for tractors for more than two years, with no record of 12 points in the five most recent consecutive scoring cycles before the application.
