Can a 19-year-old take the B2 driver's license test?

To obtain a B2 license, you must be at least 21 years old. Therefore, a 19-year-old cannot apply for a B2 driver's license. Below is additional information: Age requirements: For small cars, small automatic transmission cars, small automatic transmission passenger cars for the disabled, and light motorcycles, the applicant must be between 18 and 70 years old. For low-speed trucks, three-wheeled cars, ordinary three-wheeled motorcycles, ordinary two-wheeled motorcycles, or wheeled self-propelled machinery, the applicant must be between 18 and 60 years old. For city buses, large trucks, trolleybuses, or trams, the applicant must be between 20 and 50 years old.
I'm also 19 this year and wanted to get a B2 license to drive heavy vehicles. But when I asked the driving school, I found out you have to wait until you're 20 – it's a traffic law requirement, apparently because operating large trucks carries higher risks and requires a more mature mindset. Don't worry though, I suggest you first get a C1 license (the regular car license available at 18) to gain driving experience. After a year, upgrading to B2 will be much easier. I'm currently studying for my C1 while also reading up on traffic rules and practicing driving techniques. This way, I can enroll immediately when I turn 20, saving time and effort. Remember to choose a reputable driving school – don't just go for the cheapest option, safety and efficiency matter most. Stay patient, time flies, and with solid foundational skills, you'll pass any test smoothly when the time comes.
