Buick Excelle Dash Cam Installation Tutorial?

Park the vehicle, open the right rear door, remove the door seal, open the dash cam packaging box, and take out the rear camera and connecting cable. Thread the rear camera connecting cable from the right rear of the trunk towards the front, then run it along the door seal all the way to the front dashboard area. Pry open the right side dashboard panel, route the dash cam power cable and rear camera cable along the inside of the right dashboard panel towards the dash cam. Insert the memory card into the dash cam, turn on the ignition, the dash cam will automatically start up, then adjust the positions of both front and rear cameras.
I've installed dash cams multiple times myself, and the Buick Excelle is most suitable for concealed wiring. You need to mount the dash cam either by suction or static sticker in the upper center of the windshield, making sure it doesn't obstruct your view. The key to wiring is tucking it along the edge of the headliner and then hiding it down the A-pillar rubber trim. For power, find an ACC fuse in the fuse box at the lower left of the driver's seat in the Excelle—remember to use a dedicated fuse tap. The negative wire can be directly connected to a grounding screw on the car body; avoid random connections. Route the power cable from the A-pillar into the side of the dashboard and tuck it under the floor mat to lead it near the center console. You can also connect to the cigarette lighter, but exposed wires look messy—keep plenty of tape handy for sealing gaps. Most importantly, test that the dash cam turns on and off properly before reassembling everything.
Just helped a friend install a dashcam in their Excelle last week. For girls, I'd recommend getting someone else to install it. The main issue is that tapping power from the fuse box requires some electrical knowledge - you need to find the correct ACC port. An easier method is to draw power from the reading light, but you'll need to remove the light cover to connect the voltage reducer. The simplest solution is to route the cable behind the glove box to the cigarette lighter, and buy an L-shaped USB plug to avoid it getting in the way. Be gentle when prying off the A-pillar trim - those plastic clips break super easily. Use a plastic pry tool to slowly tuck the wires in. Remember to test the dashcam only after the car's electrical system is powered on. Don't forget to format the memory card. If you want parking surveillance mode, you'll need to connect to constant power, but I'd advise against enabling this feature if your battery isn't in great condition.
