Brief Description of the Causes of Drive Axle Oil Leakage
1 Answers
Drive axle oil leakage is caused by loosening or damage. Below are some of the fault causes: 1. Loosening: Drive axle loosening may be due to loose oil filler or drain plugs; worn or hardened oil seals, oil seals installed in reverse, misalignment between the oil seal and shaft neck, or grooves worn into the shaft neck. Additionally, the drive axle must withstand vertical forces, longitudinal and lateral forces acting between the road surface and the frame or body, as well as braking torque and reaction forces. 2. Damage: Drive axle damage may be caused by damaged fastening screws; blocked ventilation holes; casting defects or cracks in the axle housing; excessive gear oil leading to increased internal pressure during operation, causing gear oil to seep out, etc.
