At what tire pressure level is it unsafe to continue driving?

Tire pressure below 1.2bar makes driving unsafe. Vehicles are equipped with tire pressure monitoring systems that trigger warnings when pressure drops below 1.5bar. For most passenger cars, the normal tire pressure range is between 2.1 and 2.8bar. Insufficient tire pressure during high-speed driving can easily cause wave-like deformation of the tires, significantly increasing the risk of blowouts. Low pressure increases tire body deformation, leading to sidewall cracks and excessive flexing movement, which generates heat that accelerates rubber aging, tire cord fatigue, and ply breakage. It also enlarges the tire's contact patch, accelerating shoulder wear. To prevent tire pressure issues while driving, regularly inspect your tires during routine vehicle use.
