It is an automatic temperature-regulating device, typically containing a temperature-sensing component that uses thermal expansion or contraction to open or close the flow of air, gas, or liquid. The disassembly and assembly method for the Focus thermostat is as follows: 1. Locate a black plastic panel above the footwell on the passenger side, which has two retractable clips - press them to remove the panel; 2. Then disconnect the negative battery terminal, remove the body control module, and detach the module's mounting bracket (two 12mm nuts); 3. Next, remove the panel to the left of the passenger's left foot area, secured by four screws, which can then be taken off.
