The thermostat is a valve that controls the flow path of the coolant, serving as an automatic temperature-regulating device. It typically contains a temperature-sensitive component that opens or closes the flow of air, gas, or liquid through thermal expansion or contraction. The disassembly and assembly method for the Focus thermostat is as follows: 1. Locate a black plastic panel above the passenger footwell, which has two retractable clips; remove the panel by prying it off. 2. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, then remove the body control module and its mounting bracket, which is secured by two 12mm nuts. 3. Finally, remove the panel on the left side of the passenger's left foot, secured by four screws, and take it off.
