Are there any pure gas-powered cars?

There are pure natural gas-powered cars. Types of natural gas vehicles: Audi A5 Sportback g-tron, Skoda SCALA, FAW Weizhi V5 CNG version. Advantages of natural gas vehicles: Natural gas vehicles use natural gas as fuel to provide power. Natural gas contains more than 90% methane, making it an excellent fuel for car engines. Natural gas enters the cylinder in a gaseous state, burns more completely, has high thermal efficiency, and produces less carbon deposits. This extends the engine's overhaul period by 30 to 40%, prolongs the oil change cycle by 50%, and reduces maintenance costs and operating expenses.
Pure gas-powered cars do exist. I've driven a converted natural gas vehicle that was specifically designed to run solely on compressed natural gas (CNG) or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), without requiring any gasoline or diesel. These types of vehicles are quite common in some major Chinese cities, such as taxi fleets or bus systems that adopt this design. Starting and driving them feels similar to regular cars, but with lower fuel costs, leading to significant savings over time. The downside is that gas refueling stations are not as widespread as gas stations, especially in remote areas where it might be inconvenient. Additionally, engine maintenance requires finding experienced technicians to avoid issues with the gas system. Although electric vehicles are currently stealing the spotlight, gas-powered cars remain a practical transitional option as a clean energy alternative and are worth considering.
