Are Motorcycles Allowed on Hunan Expressways?

Motorcycles are allowed on Hunan expressways. Article 39 of the 'Hunan Province Expressway Management Regulations' states that pedestrians, non-motorized vehicles, tractors, wheeled special machinery vehicles, articulated buses, full-trailer towed vehicles, and other motor vehicles with a design maximum speed of less than 70 kilometers per hour are not allowed to enter expressways. There is no mention of prohibiting motorcycles from entering expressways. Expressway speed limits: The maximum speed on expressways must not exceed 120 kilometers per hour, and the minimum speed must not be lower than 60 kilometers per hour. On expressways, the maximum speed for small passenger cars must not exceed 120 kilometers per hour, other motor vehicles must not exceed 100 kilometers per hour, and motorcycles must not exceed 80 kilometers per hour. Provinces where motorcycles are banned from expressways: Sichuan, Hainan, Fujian, Jiangsu, and other regions prohibit motorcycles from entering expressways. In addition to expressway road conditions, wind resistance can also affect the safe driving of motorcycles. Motorcycles are very light, and at high speeds, wind resistance—especially crosswinds generated when large vehicles pass by—requires excellent driving skills to ensure safe travel.
