Are Hazard Lights the Same as Emergency Warning Lights?

Hazard lights are emergency warning lights, activated by a red triangular button switch located in the center of the front dashboard, commonly referred to as hazard flashers or emergency flashers. Hazard lights serve as a signal to alert other vehicles and pedestrians that the car is experiencing a special situation. When activated, both the left and right turn signals flash simultaneously, accompanied by an audible clicking sound inside the vehicle. It is also advisable to turn on hazard lights when parking on the roadside to prevent rear-end collisions. Common indicators on a car include: headlights, fog lights, width markers, brake lights, emergency lights, fog lamps, daytime running lights, oil pressure indicator, oil light, ABS fault light, engine indicator, etc.
