Are Didi cars forcibly scrapped after 8 years?

Didi cars are not scrapped after 8 years but are required to exit operation and can continue to be used as private vehicles. National regulations stipulate scrapping at 600,000 kilometers. This means if a car reaches 600,000 kilometers in 6 years, it will be directly scrapped. If it only reaches 400,000 kilometers in 8 years, it can continue to be used as a private vehicle without issues. Vehicle scrapping standards include: reaching the service life limit for various types of motor vehicles; failing to meet the national safety technical standards for in-use vehicles after repairs and adjustments; failing to meet national standards for pollutant or noise emissions after repairs, adjustments, or control technology implementation; and not obtaining the motor vehicle inspection qualification mark for three consecutive inspection cycles after the expiration of the inspection validity period.
