Civil servants can drive Teslas. So far, there has been no clear statement or regulation from the Ministry of Commerce or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the usage scope of "Tesla." Prohibition of Tesla vehicles in military-related facilities: Due to safety concerns regarding the cameras installed on Tesla vehicles, they are prohibited from entering military-related facilities. Similarly, personnel from relevant units are also prohibited from purchasing Teslas. Definition of "important data": The "Several Provisions on the Management of Automotive Data Security (Draft for Comment)" drafted by the Cyberspace Administration of China in conjunction with relevant departments clearly defines "important data": data on the flow of people and vehicles in important and sensitive areas such as military management zones, national defense and science industries, and other units involving state secrets; surveying and mapping data with precision higher than that published in national maps; operational data of the electric vehicle charging network; data on vehicle types and traffic flow on roads; external audio and video data containing faces, voices, license plates, etc.; and other data that may affect national security or public interests as specified by the national cyberspace administration and relevant departments of the State Council.
