Are Car Oil Filters Universal?
1 Answers
Car oil filters are not universal. The oil filter is located in the engine lubrication system and its function is to filter out harmful impurities from the oil in the oil pan, supplying clean oil to the crankshaft, connecting rods, camshaft, turbocharger, and piston rings for lubrication, cooling, and cleaning purposes. Oil filter replacement method: 1. Close the inlet valve of the filter, unscrew the end cover bolts, and open the end cover; 2. Open the drain valve to completely drain the dirty oil; 3. Loosen the tightening nut at the top of the filter and remove the old filter element vertically upwards; 4. After replacing the filter, close the drain valve and secure the end cover with bolts.
