The Principal Cloud Engineer will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to design, implement, and manage secure cloud infrastructures in support of mission-critical operions, with a strong focus on security monitoring and thre detection. This role supports complex cloud environments by leveraging modern DevOps tools and practices, collaboring across teams to solve technical challenges. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Supporting AWS, Azure, Oracle, and GCP cloud services and infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM temples. Troubleshooting and resolving issues reled to specific cloud environments while implementing cloud security best practices. Leveraging Azure da services, including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Sentinel, to ensure security posture and compliance. Writing and maintaining automion scripts in PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI and executing them using Logic Apps and Azure Functions. Configuring network security groups (NSGs), applicion geways, and other network controls to protect cloud resources. Managing cloud compute, storage, networking, and dabase services while applying security compliance standards across the organizion. Working with all stakeholders to ensure complete and functioning systems th meet all requirements. Minimum Qualificions: Bachelor’s degree or 4+ additional years of IT experience in lieu of a degree 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering and/or development Experience designing and deploying cloud-based solutions using DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, or Docker. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM temples, Terraform, Ansible, or BICEP. Familiarity with cloud temple technologies including GitHub Enterprise and architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman. Experience automing workflows using scripting tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, YAML, or JSON. Experience meeting security requirements in the Sponsor's environment or similar complex environments. DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certificion (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security) or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire. Preferred Qualificions: Familiarity with container technologies such as Kubernetes and experience with Google Cloud Plform. Understanding of Federal Informion Processing Standards (FIPS)-199, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-53A, NIST SP 800-37, and DoD Cloud Security Requirements Guide Microsoft certificions such as Azure Administror Associe, Azure Security Engineer Associe, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert. Clearance Requirements: An active TS/SCI with Polygraph. Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stionary position 50%.
