Network support engineer/generalist (MSP/MSSP) (Seattle / Bellevue)

Summary: Seeking an experienced IT professional with a strong MSP background for a proactive, cross-platform support role in a low-stress environment. Highlights: 1. Enjoy a flexible schedule and a 4-day/32-hour work week Require 10+ years experience, esp in an MSP environment. Mostly the usual Windows/networking stuff, including Exchange maintenance, Firewalls/VPNs (mostly WatchGuard, WireGuard, Fortinet & pfSense), VM setup/migrations etc, (mostly Hyper-V and VMware), and of course the occasional random things. (We're a cross-platform shop, so we do support a some Linux and OSX environments as well.) All customers are on RMM service agreements so we have plenty of automation, reporting, ticket management etc. We're also pretty proactive on All The Things so the fire-quotient tends to be pretty low, but once in awhile there's an after-hours migration or something. We're also cognizant of the fact that the customer is not always right, so if they're generally a giant pain to work with we will suggest that they find another provider. Overall the combination of these things reduces everyone's stress level and makes for a nicer place to work for everybody. :) Remote work is generally fine, as are very flexible schedules, (and we do a 4-day/32hr work week), but of course the occasional customer onsite visit is needed from time to time as well. (I.e. Puget Sound area applicants only please!) We're also affiliated with an HP/HPE reseller, so relevant certs are a plus, and if you have any cybersecurity background (especially the things you don't put on a resume' because they make HR heads asplode :) that's a plus too! And, last but not least, bonus points for prior service folks, esp if clearance eligible.
