LEPAS L6 EV

March 13, 2025 – LEPAS has officially confirmed full US specifications for the L6 EV, an all-electric midsize SUV that marks the brand’s first dedicated battery-electric vehicle for the American market. Following the launch of the L8 plug-in hybrid, the L6 EV brings a blend of sleek design, practical technology, and everyday usability to a segment dominated by the Tesla Model Y, Ford Mustang Mach-E, and Hyundai Ioniq 5. While exact pricing remains under wraps, industry sources expect a starting figure around $40,000 before federal incentives, positioning the L6 EV as a strong contender in the rapidly growing compact-to-midsize EV crossover space.

Built for urban living, ready for longer trips

The L6 EV was designed with modern city life in mind, but its generous range and fast-charging capability make it equally capable for weekend getaways. A 65kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery powers a front-mounted electric motor producing 217 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque, enabling a 0-60 mph sprint of 7.9 seconds and a top speed of 111 mph. The EPA-estimated range of 279 miles targets the sweet spot for daily commutes and regional travel, while 120kW DC fast charging replenishes the battery from 10% to 80% in about 22 minutes. LEPAS has confirmed compatibility with both CCS and NACS connectors (via an adapter), ensuring access to most public charging networks in the US.

Two trim levels: Essence and Elevate

US buyers will have a choice between two well-equipped trims. The entry-level Essence comes with a full suite of driver-assistance features, 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED headlights with Intelligent High Beam Assist, heated power-folding mirrors, privacy glass, and acoustic laminated front side windows. Inside, Essence offers a 13.2-inch waterfall-style central touchscreen, a panoramic sunroof with electric sunshade, dual-zone climate control, a heated multifunction steering wheel, keyless entry and go, and 40/60 split-folding rear seats. Upholstery is Basalt Black fabric, with six-way manually adjustable front seats.

The Elevate trim adds full leather-effect upholstery, six-way power adjustment for both front seats (with four-way power lumbar for the driver), heated and ventilated front seats, a power tailgate, a Nano-Aqua Ion Air Purification System, and 256-color ambient lighting. Both trims feature a 65kWh LFP battery, the same front-motor powertrain, and identical range figures.

Platform and chassis tuned for American roads

The L6 EV rides on LEPAS’s LEX Platform, a new-energy architecture designed for intelligence, efficiency, and safety. An integrated 12-in-1 electric drive system ensures smooth power delivery, while electric power steering and an electric brake booster are standard. The vehicle features Bosch IBP 2.0 braking technology, which improves stopping performance, energy recovery, and pedal feel while reducing the nosedive sensation common in many EVs. Critically, LEPAS’s global chassis team – with specific input from engineers familiar with US road conditions – carried out dedicated development work to refine the suspension and steering for American highways and secondary roads, balancing ride comfort with predictable handling.

Design language: Leopard Aesthetics meets SUV practicality

The L6 EV brings LEPAS’s “Leopard Aesthetics” design philosophy to the SUV segment. Signature “Hunting Eye” LED headlights, a wide-body profile inspired by a leopard in motion, and distinctive LED rear lighting give it a distinctive look. At 4,570 mm (180 inches) long, 1,852 mm (72.9 inches) wide (excluding mirrors), and 1,676 mm (66 inches) high, with a 2,700 mm (106.3-inch) wheelbase, the L6 EV offers a commanding road presence while remaining easy to park in tight urban spots. Ground clearance of 159 mm (6.3 inches) adds everyday versatility. Six exterior colors are available: Lucid White (no cost), Phantom Grey, Cosmic Black, Quicksilver, Solar Orange, and Supernova Purple (all £500 in the UK, likely around $600 in the US).

Interior space and cargo flexibility

The flat-floor rear design (made possible by the LEX Platform) improves legroom for rear passengers. The trunk offers 410 liters (14.5 cubic feet) of cargo space, expanding to 1,334 liters (47.1 cubic feet)
