A key safety restriction is that video streaming will only be accessible when the car is in "Park," making it an ideal feature to use while waiting for the vehicle to charge at a Supercharger station. The renderings for the "Tesla Semi-Home" concept depict a fully equipped living space with a kitchen, bathroom, living area, and a bed positioned above the driver's cabin. The concept leverages the Tesla Semi's promised performance, including a maximum range of up to 500 miles on a single charge, which would be advantageous for long-distance travel. Vanlifer has suggested a starting point of $180,000 for the base Semi with the 500-mile range, though this figure does not include the significant cost of converting it into a motorhome. It is crucial to note that this is an independent concept and not an official Tesla product. Its feasibility is entirely dependent on the actual production and release of the Tesla Semi, which has reportedly seen its launch timeline shift to 2020.
