Work closely with remote, senior technicians About the Role We're looking for a motivated and curious individual to join our IT team as a Junior IT Technician Intern. This is a hands-on role where you'll gain real-world experience supporting end users, maintaining hardware and software, and contributing to day-to-day IT operations. You'll work closely with our remote, senior technicians and learn how enterprise IT environments function from the ground up. What you'll do Provide first-line technical support to employees via helpdesk tickets, phone, and in-person. Set up, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices. Assist with on-boarding and off-boarding — account provisioning, device imaging, and equipment setup. Support network connectivity issues including Wi-Fi, VPN, and basic LAN troubleshootingInstall, update, and maintain operating systems and software applications. Maintain accurate records of IT assets, tickets, and resolutions in the helpdesk system. Assist senior technicians with infrastructure projects, upgrades, and documentation What we are looking for Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree or certificate in IT, Computer Science, or a related fieldBasic understanding of Windows and/or macOS environments; familiarity with Linux is a plus. Familiarity with common productivity tools such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace. Strong communication skills with a patient, customer-first approach to support. Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative on new challenges. Ability to lift and move equipment up to 25 lbs when needed Nice to have CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certification (in progress counts)Prior experience with a helpdesk platform such as ServiceNow, FreshService Jira Service Management, or ZendeskBasic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS). Any personal IT projects, lab work, or volunteer tech support experience
