Drive cross-team collaboration and stakeholder alignment Apply Now Description We are seeking an experienced Lead Scrum Master / Release Train Engineer (RTE) to join our team the forefront of unmanned and autonomous ship development for the US Government. Based in Arlington, VA, you will play a critical leadership role within our Agile Release Trains (ARTs), orchestring the delivery of software th powers some of the nion’s most advanced maritime programs. As the RTE, you will facilite cross-team collaborion, drive alignment across stakeholders, and ensure the successful execution of program increments th transform existing vessels into autonomous plforms and support the development of new ships from concept through deployment. Primary Responsibilities Serve as the Release Train Engineer (RTE) and Lead Scrum Master, faciliting execution and delivery across Agile Release Trains (ARTs). Lead and coordine Program Increment (PI) Planning, ensuring alignment of teams, management of dependencies, and achievement of delivery objectives. Facilite ART-level ceremonies, including Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops, to drive collaborion and transparency. Monitor and report on Agile execution metrics, such as burndown charts and program performance indicors, to track progress and identify improvement opportunities. Ensure alignment and effective communicion between product management, engineering, and system integrion teams. Support the continuous improvement of Agile processes, team performance, and delivery predictability through coaching and feedback. Facilite communicion and coordinion across multiple teams and stakeholders to ensure successful program execution. Lead all Scrum ceremonies for assigned teams, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews/Demos, and Retrospectives. Proactively identify and remove impediments, escaling issues as needed to maintain momentum and meet delivery goals. Promote the adoption of SAFe principles, Agile best practices, and Lean delivery methodologies across the organizion. Support the readiness and execution of system releases across development, test, integrion, and production environments. Collabore with and mentor junior team members to help them meet sprint commitments and achieve project milestones. Provide timely reporting and stus updes to program leadership and Government stakeholders. Directly manage, coach, and develop team members, conducting performance evaluions, setting goals, and supporting career growth to ensure a high-performing and engaged team. Basic Qualificions Bachelor’s degree in Business, Informion Technology, Engineering, or reled discipline and 4–8 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree in a reled field and 2-6 years of relevant experience. Minimum 2 years of experience leading Agile teams or programs in a SAFe or large-scale Agile environment. Experience serving as a Scrum Master or Release Train Engineer in Agile or SAFe environments. Experience faciliting Agile ceremonies across multiple teams and coordining program-level execution. Experience managing risks, dependencies, and cross-team coordinion in large-scale programs. Experience working with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, or similar). Strong communicion, facilition, and stakeholder management skills. Experience opering within SAFe or Agile frameworks supporting enterprise systems. ​Full time onsite support in Arlington VA.  Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. Preferred Qualificions SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or SAFe Agilist (SA) certificion. Experience coordining delivery across software, da, and plform teams. Experience supporting DoD or Federal programs. Experience with Agile reporting, dashboards, and program metrics.
