Job Description: Technician to work on Rail electrical and electro-mechanical installations, execute test procedures, generate test reports, make adjustment on systems and troubleshoot rail vehicles and/or its subsystems. Generate/Track progress reports to management. Responsibilities: Perform mechanical installations and repairs on rail vehicles at an acceptable level of quality and within agreed method times as directed by Supervisor. Demonstrate good working knowledge and experience with the use of hand and power tools, welding machines, measuring devices and pneumatic/hydraulic gauges Must be able to read and comprehend a wide range of mechanical drawings and work instructions. Understand the purpose of the Bill of Material (BOM) and how it relates to material picking lists and operations list. Identify and record information such as part numbers and serial numbers. Any and all other responsibilities, in addition to those mentioned above, as assigned by supervisor/manager. Any interpretation/clarification with responsibilities above will be settled by the supervisor/manager. Perform and generate reports on all routine tests and testing activities. Troubleshoot manufacturing & component problems to the lowest Line Replaceable Unit (LRU), and support during qualification tests. Execute tests according to test procedures and schematics.
