Drive design for manufacturability (DFM/DFA) Apply Now Position: Engineering Manager III Job Description: We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a small team of mechanical engineers while actively contributing to mechanical design and manufacturing engineering efforts. This role is ideal for a technically strong leader who enjoys balancing people management with direct engineering work. What You'll Be Doing:  Lead and develop a small team of mechanical engineers supporting product design and electromechanical assembly Act as a working manager, performing hands-on mechanical design and engineering Drive design for manufacturability (DFM/DFA) across injection molded, sheet metal, machined, and cast components Develop should-cost models and partner with supply chain and non-franchised buyers to support supplier negotiations Apply industrial and manufacturing engineering principles to support in-house production line development Support electromechanical integration, prototyping, and production troubleshooting Ensure disciplined use of PLM systems, revision control, and engineering change management What We Are Looking For:  10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, including leadership or management responsibilities Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Strong hands-on mechanical design background Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and cost drivers Experience working with suppliers, sourcing, and cost optimization Working knowledge of PLM systems, revision control, and change control processes Please note we are not able to sponsor candidates for this position.
