Diagnose and recommend appropriate actions and/or review suggested actions for the maintenance and repair of City well equipment and equipment associated with wastewater collection and treatment systems. (20%) Review and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, work orders, maintenance records, and customer service requests to accurately complete work assignments; respond to service calls, determine priority, and perform emergency and non-emergency repairs during and occasionally after regular working hours. (20%) Perform general electrical installation maintenance and repair for Public Works facilities and grounds and assist the Parks and Facilities Division with electrical repair and maintenance of other City facilities as needed. Select and manage outside vendors, in accordance with public procurement requirements, to perform contract work, including but not limited to HVAC, mechanical, and electrical facility repairs. (20%) Receive cross training with Mechanical/Electronic Equipment Maintenance Supervisor in complex mechanical and electrical diagnostics and repairs. (15%) Maintain safe work habits and contribute to the safety of self, co-workers and the public. Maintain consistent and regular job attendance and adherence to working hours. Respond promptly after hours when necessary to perform emergency electrical repairs required to restore or sustain functionality of critical systems.
