In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our facilities and equipment. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable environment by performing repairs, troubleshooting issues, and conducting routine inspections. Responsibilities The Maintenance Technician duties and desired characteristics include but are not limited: Works directly with residents and team members to diagnose, assess & repair issues including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, tile, carpet, walls, flooring Maintains records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details including actions taken on a work order Knowledge of make ready apartments is preferred Follows up on unresolved customer service issues to ensure issue resolution Prioritizes and manages your daily workload to ensure successful completion Maintains a working knowledge of policies and procedures and their proper application including efficiency, service and quality targets Responsible for the appearance and the working order of the property, which includes individual apartments, common areas, and exterior areas. Experience Technical experience with electrical, HVAC, and Mechanical Systems A minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance, construction, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing including appliance repair, power, water and sewer distribution Proven knowledge and application of codes, laws and regulations pertaining to public buildings Excellent customer service skills The ability to successfully handle multiple priorities Must have good problem solving skills Ability to work under pressure Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
