Serve as the senior technical authority for voice call flows Apply Now Description Leidos is seeking an experienced Voice / VoIP Architect to provide senior-level technical leadership, architectural oversight, and stregic direction for enterprise voice and unified communicions services supporting NASA’s mission and corpore environments. This role is central to designing, evolving, and modernizing large-scale telephony plforms, including hybrid and cloud-based voice architectures and the transition from legacy Cisco environments to Microsoft Teams Telephony. The selected candide will serve as the lead architect for enterprise voice services, responsible for end-to-end design, integrion, migrion, and optimizion of VoIP and unified communicions plforms. This includes deep expertise in SIP-based communicions, secure voice architectures, and large-scale, mission-critical deployments. Key Responsibilities Lead architecture and design of enterprise voice and VoIP solutions across on-premise, hybrid, and cloud environments. Define and execute migrion stregies from legacy PBX/Cisco UC plforms to Microsoft Teams Telephony. Architect SIP trunking solutions, including secure TLS/SRTP communicions between enterprise plforms. Serve as the senior technical authority for voice call flows, signaling, and cross-plform interoperability. Design and implement Session Border Controller (SBC) architectures (Cisco CUBE, Oracle SBC, etc.). Ensure secure voice architecture including certifices, encryption, firewall traversal, and compliance requirements. Integre voice services across LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud network environments with proper QoS and prioritizion. Perform capacity planning and traffic analysis to ensure scalability, resiliency, and performance. Provide Tier 3 escalion support for complex VoIP, SIP, and geway issues. Develop architectural standards, roadmaps, and lifecycle stregies for enterprise voice services. Deliver executive-level technical briefings and mentor engineering teams. Basic Qualificions Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or reled field (Master’s preferred). 10–15+ years of experience in enterprise voice/VoIP engineering or architecture. Proven experience supporting large-scale telephony deployments and migrions, including Cisco to Microsoft Teams Telephony. VoIP Protocols & Standards: Expert-level understanding of SIP, RTP/RTCP, H.323, and codec technologies (G.711, G.729, Opus). Networking Fundamentals: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS, MPLS, SD-WAN, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) for voice traffic prioritizion. Plforms & Vendors:Cisco Unified Communicions Manager (CUCM) Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE) / SBCs Microsoft Teams Telephony Experience with Avaya or similar enterprise voice plforms SIP & Security:SIP trunk configurion (Cisco & Microsoft environments) TLS/SRTP implemention Certifice management and PKI Firewall traversal and rule implemention Strong troubleshooting skills using protocol analyzers (SIP traces, packet captures, call flow analysis). Preferred Qualificions •    Experience with  Akkadian Provisioning Manager Oracle SBC Microsoft Survivable Branch Appliance (SBA) Cisco Unified Contact Center (UCCX/UCCE) •    Security & Compliance: Familiarity with PCI, HIPAA, and secure voice recording requirements. •    Hybrid/Cloud Voice: Experience designing hybrid VoIP architectures integring on-prem PBX with cloud plforms (Microsoft Teams, Direct Routing). •    Experience supporting government or NASA environments. •    Active Secret Clearance. •    Relevant certificions (e.g., Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer, CCNP Collaborion, etc.).
