Utilize strong organizational and administrative skills The Bailey Law Firm is looking for a hard-working, independent, and knowledgeable person to fill the position of Paralegal in our Firm. We are an expanding firm looking for someone who can work in a fast-paced, litigation-oriented environment. Responsibilities and Duties * Drafting discovery, motions, and pleadings under attorney supervision * Calendaring and managing statutory deadlines * Legal research * Schedule depositions * Filing court documents * Document review and editing * Managing firm's calendar * Interfacing with clients regarding scheduling and basic needs * Communicating with the Court and opposing counsel * General oversight of the office’s day-to-day tasks Qualifications and Skills Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and administrative skills. Attention to detail is a must. Must possess strong procedural knowledge and be able to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently. * High School Diploma or GED required * 2 + years of college education preferable * Paralegal certificate highly preferred * Familiarity with Microsoft Suite Office, Google Drive, Adobe Acrobat, Clio, and Odyssey E-filing * 5+ year paralegal experience in California required. * Business law, civil litigation, and estate planning law experience a plus * Must have valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and working vehicle * Salary $48,000-$80,000 depending on experience, option for benefits * To apply, please send cover letter, resume, writing sample, and professional references
