Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven General Manager to lead and grow our kitchen exhaust cleaning compnay. This role combines sales, operations management, team leadership, and field support. The ideal candidate is highly organized, driven to increase revenue, and willing to step into the field when needed to ensure jobs are completed to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Generate new business through prospecting, cold calling, and relationship building
Meet and exceed monthly revenue and sales targets
Build and maintain relationships with restaurants, property managers, insurance companies and commercial clients
Prepare estimates, proposals, and close service contracts
Operations Management
Oversee daily business operations, ensuring efficiency and profitability
Manage scheduling of jobs to maximize crew productivity and route efficiency
Monitor job quality, completion times, and customer satisfaction
Ensure compliance with NFPA 96 standards and safety regulations
Scheduling & Team Management
Schedule and coordinate technicians and crews
Manage employee performance, accountability, and productivity
Hire, train, and develop team members
Handle call-outs, rescheduling, and last-minute changes
Field Support (Hands-On Role)
Step into the field to perform kitchen hood cleaning when needed
Assist crews during high-volume periods or staffing shortages
Ensure all work meets company and compliance standards
Lead by example with strong work ethic and attention to detail
Qualifications
Experience in operations management, service industry, or facilities management
Strong background in sales, lead generation, and closing deals
Ability to manage teams and coordinate multiple schedules simultaneously
Comfortable working both in-office and in the field
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license
Preferred (Not Required)
Experience in kitchen exhaust/hood cleaning or HVAC
Knowledge of NFPA 96 compliance standards
Experience with CRM or scheduling software
Compensation
Base Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 (based on experience)
Performance Bonus: Commission on sales + performance incentives
Total Compensation Potential: $60,000 – $75,000 +
