Honda Cars India has released another teaser for the Elevate facelift, giving a clearer look at the compact SUV’s redesign ahead of its October 6 launch. The latest images focus on the front end, confirming the brand is moving toward a more angular, contemporary visual treatment for its best-selling SUV in India. Interested buyers can already reserve the updated model with a pre-booking amount of Rs 21,000, with final prices scheduled to be announced at the launch event.
The teaser follows an earlier reveal that showcased the rear connected light bar and a lighter cabin theme. Together, the two previews indicate that Honda is preparing a more visible design refresh than many had expected, even though the underlying mechanical package is likely to be carried over.
The most obvious change in the latest teaser is a redesigned front fascia. The grille is now home to horizontal, segmented LED daytime running lights, a styling choice that makes the front end appear wider and more tech-forward. The chrome strip above the grille is finished in a contrasting tone, which stands out against what appears to be a new grey exterior shade introduced for the facelift.
In another notable distinction from the outgoing model, the Honda logo has been relocated from the grille to the bonnet. That change gives the nose a cleaner, more premium appearance and signals a subtle but deliberate departure from the previous design language. The main LED headlamps and the eyebrow-style DRLs are expected to carry over unchanged, along with the 17-inch alloy wheel design, so the update retains a sense of familiarity for existing Elevate customers.
A 360-degree camera system is also visible in the latest teaser, suggesting that upper variants will continue to offer convenience features expected in this highly competitive segment.
Earlier teaser material had already confirmed that the Elevate facelift will adopt a lighter interior theme, replacing the current tan cabin. That move mirrors the approach Honda recently took with the City, which shifted to a brighter, more modern cabin treatment as part of its update. The facelifted Elevate will also feature ambient lighting across the dashboard and door pads, giving the interior a more upmarket atmosphere without major structural changes.
This focus on perceived quality is important for the Elevate as it faces increasingly strong rivals in the Indian midsize SUV market. Features that feel premium at first touch, along with a refreshed visual identity, are often key selling points in this segment.
Honda has not confirmed any mechanical revisions for the Elevate facelift, and expectations are that the model will continue with the existing 1.5-litre petrol engine. The current setup offers a claimed 121 PS of power and 145 Nm of torque, with buyers able to choose between a six-speed manual and a CVT automatic. No diesel option is offered, keeping the lineup simple while targeting the large number of buyers who prioritise petrol powertrains in this class.
The lack of major technical changes likely means Honda will rely on design, equipment and pricing to keep the Elevate competitive. That strategy has become common in the segment, where facelifts typically focus on cosmetic updates and feature additions rather than all-new engines.
Once launched, the updated Elevate will compete with several established and upcoming models, including the Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun and Tata Sierra. These vehicles span a range of price points and powertrain choices, which means the Elevate’s updated styling and feature list will play an important role in convincing buyers to choose Honda over other popular options.
Honda Cars India has used the teaser campaign to steadily build interest before the official market debut. The Rs 21,000 pre-booking amount is relatively modest and allows early customers to firm up their place in the delivery queue once order books officially open. More details on variant-wise pricing and full specifications are expected at the October 6 launch.
The Elevate remains an important model for Honda in India, given the continued strong demand for compact SUVs. With this facelift, the company appears focused on sharpening the car’s visual appeal and interior experience, while keeping the trusted engine and driving characteristics that have won over existing customers.
