April 25, 2026 – Belarusian-Chinese joint venture BelGee announced today that its plant in the Borisov district of Minsk region has rolled out the 200,000th vehicle since production began in 2013. The milestone car is a Belgee X50+ urban crossover in Prestige trim, finished in metallic blue, the company confirmed via its press service.
The X50+ model entered production in mid-April and orders opened the same week. By April 24, the crossover was already available at dealerships across Belarus, reflecting the brand’s rapid ramp-up. The new model measures 4,380 mm in length, 2,600 mm in wheelbase, 1,810 mm in width, and 1,615 mm in height, with a ground clearance of 182 mm. According to BelGee, this clearance allows confident driving not only on city streets but also on unpaved, snow-covered, or muddy roads – a key selling point for the region.
BelGee offers the X50+ in three trim levels: Comfort, Luxury, and Flagship. Pricing starts at 57,900 Belarusian rubles (roughly $18,000 USD at current exchange rates). The vehicle is based on the first-generation Geely Coolray platform, modified under BelGee’s own brand license, which it obtained in 2023. The X50+ is the third model under the Belgee brand, following the X50, X70, and S50 sedan.
The BelGee joint venture was established in 2011, with the first car assembled in February 2013. In 2017, the plant transitioned to full-cycle production of Geely vehicles, with total investment reaching approximately €400 million – a significant portion funded by a Chinese loan. The 118-hectare facility employs about 2,300 people and has a designed annual capacity of 60,000 vehicles, though the plant produced over 90,000 units in 2024, operating well above its original capacity.
In 2023, BelGee secured a license to produce cars under its own brand, starting with the Belgee X50 (essentially a rebadged first-gen Geely Coolray). The lineup expanded to include the X70 crossover and S50 sedan. In 2025, the company announced plans to set up production of four electric vehicle models, including the hybrid Belgee X80, which is expected to launch in 2027.
The factory reached 150,000 vehicles in early 2026, meaning it took just a few months to add another 50,000 units. This acceleration aligns with increased local demand and export orders to neighboring markets such as Russia and Kazakhstan. Industry analysts estimate that BelGee’s monthly output now exceeds 15,000 vehicles, up from around 7,500 per month in 2024.
