Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro (original designer of VW Golf, Delorean, Lotus Esprit, BMW M1 to name a few) the classy Lancia Delta LX laid the groundwork for the later Lancia Delta Integrale, 6 time world rally champion (unbeaten record) due to its balance of size, chassis, dynamic and handling. 1980 European Car of the Year, this 5 speed manual transmission 1500 LX was the top of the line (1300, 1300 LX, 1500 were also offered below it) and is a wonderful time capsule, unmodified, unmolested, accident-free, 1 owner for 35 years. Repainted once (about 15 years ago) the same original metallic gold color; the finish still looks fantastic. All original, well conserved and complete interior. Original “camel” wool seats by Zegna with matching door inserts and ceiling surface show no staining nor rips.
