Lead Automotive Mechanic/Mecanico (1325 Hodges Street)

Small, busy mom and pops shop, Peoples Tire and Auto, is hiring for a Lead Technician with a minimum of 5 years lead technician experience. We are a third-generation shop that has been in business since 1964, we just celebrated 61 years in business! Salaried position starting at 85,000/year, with opportunity to grow We work M-F from 8am to 5pm No after hours or weekend work We offer 10 days PTO after 90 days and a simple IRA matching contribution after 1 year of employment Generous mid and end of year bonus Work Requirements: -Must have minimum 5 years of in shop experience -Diagnostic ability both domestic and import -Willingness to work on some diesels -Timing Belts, Water Pumps, HVAC jobs, driveline and suspension diagnostics and replacement -Willingness to do an oil change or alignment, etc. when needed to catch up if we are behind -Need to have a valid somewhat clean NC Drivers license -Must have tools for these jobs -Must be able to work well with others because we have a healthy team atmosphere -Maintain an organized, clean workstation We currently have 4 technicians, a delivery driver, and two managers/service writers. We stay steady busy and try to make the workplace easy for everyone. We have quite a great reputation, and our business is continuing to grow. We would like you to grow with us.
