Security Officers are carefully screened according to talents, qualifications, experience, and overall disposition for the job they would be performing. You will use various forms of communication and you will be expected to write reports outlining observations and activities during assigned shifts. Security Officers must work in a fast-paced environment and possess people's skills. All applicants must pass a background investigation of personal character, professional references, and criminal records. Job Skills: Basic computer skills necessary. May be required to lift up to 25 lbs. and have a full range of mobility throughout the workday. Must be able to act quickly and professionally during an emergency. Routine tour guard scanning of multiple Location Must possess a valid Massachusetts Driver's license upon starting date. Knowledge of guest intake and ID verification procedures and protocols. Demonstrated ability to interact with the public to facilitate problem-solving in stressful situations with calm and open judgment. Ability to identify potential problems, analyze issues, and propose solutions. Knowledge of safety, health, and security protocols. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Professionally manage any situation within the store that is deemed by management as requiring security interdiction. Immediately contact local law enforcement or other emergency services when required by management or in a situation that requires immediate action. Monitor traffic flow. Other ad hoc responsibilities as required due to business needs. Must be able to work for long hours, working on your feet and bending over with minimal supervision. Candidates should be motivated and hardworking, attendance is critical. Reliable Transportation is a must. Must be a team player. May be required to work outdoors from time to time.
