Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.34 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Thur06:30 AM - 06:30 PM Fri06:30 AM - 06:30 PM Sat06:30 AM - 05:30 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions. Monitor access points and help to verify that entry and exit activity follows post instructions, visitor protocols, and/or authorized access procedures. Support Allied Universal and site leadership by communicating clearly with personnel, assisting with routine inquiries, and maintaining awareness of changes in the work environment and/or post orders. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience. Possess an armed guard card and/or license. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
