About the Role Babel Audio is seeking professional Tamil-speaking (Standard Tamil / Chennai) voice actors for an individual voice performance project. Your performances will be used to train AI systems to better understand and express human emotion. This is a nuanced, character-driven role requiring genuine talent, and we have structured this engagement to reflect that. You will receive a script and scene summary, analyze the emotional context, and deliver an authentic performance tailored to the character and moment. Scenes are specific and emotionally rich. You may portray characters such as: A bride bidding farewell to her family on her wedding day, captivated by emotion A father, holding his newborn child for the first time, overcome with emotion A shepherd, spotting a wolf in the distance, becoming alert to protect his flock A doctor, heavy-hearted, delivering a patient’s death notice to their family A track athlete, filled with emotion as they approach the finish line after years of training Recordings are under one minute. You choose which scripts to record, and you work entirely on your own schedule. Who You Are Native-level fluency in Standard Tamil (Chennai) Professional background in voice acting, dubbing, narration, audiobook recording, or similar Ability to deliver articulate and engaging voice performances across varied styles and emotions Comfortable interpreting scene summaries and working independently with minimal direction Compensation $60 USD / recorded hour Performance-based bonus compensation available Technical Requirements Audio Quality: Clear, consistent vocal quality. External Microphone: USB microphone preferred (XLR also acceptable; built-in, wireless, and Bluetooth microphones are not accepted).
