We are in search of AV technicians that can handle simple AV set ups like 5 wireless microphones, 4 powered JBL speakers on tripod stands, mixing using an Allen and Heath Qu-16 mixer and the accompanying iPad app along with an Allen and Heath AB168 stage box. The job does include the occasional video presentation or slide show so basic video experience such as connecting a laptop to a projector via HDMI is needed. Bonus points if you have experience converting HDMI to SDI. Responsibilities Basic sound system set up and operation: 2-4 powered speakers on tripod stands, 2-5 microphones both wired and wireless, mixing a discussion panel using an Allen & Heath Qu-16 Mixer with iPad. Connecting laptops to a projector via HDMI and occasionally converting HDMI to SDI Playing music via Spotify playlist This position is freelance/on-call. Events are typically in the evening and last 4-5 hours. If you have live sound or hotel AV experience, you’ll feel at home with this gig. A general walk-through will be provided, but you must be comfortable working alone as you will be by yourself for most events. Send your work experience/resume for consideration.
