Rose City Media is a Portland-based video production company making corporate documentary and brand content for national clients. We're looking for a hungry, early-career editor to grow with us — ideal for a recent grad or someone in their final year of a film/media program. The editing work can be done from anywhere. This is a great fit if you: -Know your way around Adobe Premiere Pro and want to sharpen your craft on real client work -Have a good instinct for pacing and story, even if your reel is mostly school or personal projects -Are organized, communicative, and reliable with deadlines -Want real mentorship and room to grow — not just a one-off gig What you'd start with: -Organizing and syncing multi-cam footage, pulling selects, building rough assemblies -Basic color correction and titling, with guidance toward broadcast-quality finishing -Supporting senior edits and taking on your own cuts as you prove yourself The growth part: I have 10+ years of experience in video production and 15+ as a marketer. I'm happy to teach what I know across the whole production pipeline — camera operation, lighting, sound, on-set workflow, the works. If you want to become a more complete filmmaker, not just an editor, this is a place to do it. Occasional travel: There will be occasional paid opportunities to travel for video shoots as a production assistant — helping run gear, assist on set, and learn production hands-on. For these, a Portland-based candidate is ideal (easier to travel together), but it's a bonus, not a requirement. The core editing role is open to anyone, anywhere.
